...for actress Christina Applegate, who was diagnosed with breast cancer just last week. Her mum's a survivor, so here's hoping the Samantha Who star has the same luck. It's all about early detection - have you had your check-up lately?
One in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85. We all know someone whose life has been touched by breast cancer, and we all know that prevention is the only cure. So if you've been lazy and haven't had your check-up lately (you should feel for changes like lumpiness, unusal shape and pain every week), then get to it asap.

And tell all the girls in your life - it's all about awareness.
