Australian designer, Toni Maticevski, kept company with Diane von Furstenberg and DKNY over the weekend, as he showcased his collection during New York Fashion Week Spring 2009.
To the tunes of Doris Day and Kate Bush, Toni’s romantic collection of gowns, cocktail dresses and suits were sent down the stair-case of NY’s Hotel Roger Williams. The collection featured classic, well-cut pieces, floaty gowns, sparkling with diamantes, and airy dresses made from satin and delicate lace. Embellishments included pearls (by sponsor Autore), appliquéd flowers, and layered petals, with garments in shades of white, blue, black, cream, and orange.
Toni was joined by four other Aussies at this year’s NY Fashion Week, including Alice McCall, former stylist Michael Angel, Aurelio Costarella and Willow.
